This position is located in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA)  Office of Administration, Office of Human Resources, Training and Professional Development Division.  The primary mission is to perform daily operation planning and execution of the comprehensive professional and leadership development programs for FMCSA.

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 12, you must have at least one year of  specialized experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11 it must include: Experience with designing and developing a training program and related activities. Experience with following current concepts and techniques that evaluate program activities, improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction.   To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include: Experience with designing, developing, managing, and leading a training programs and related activities. Experience with applying current concepts and techniques to effectively evaluate program activities, improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Experience performing Contracting Officer Representative (COR) duties, when required; manage contracts and teams, monitor and report progress, and work with other program offices. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Problem Solving -  Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Interpersonal Skills - Shows understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, concern, and politeness to others; develops and maintains effective relationships with others; may includeeffectively dealing with individuals who are difficult, hostile, or distressed; relates well to people from varied backgrounds and different situations; is sensitive to cultural diversity, race, gender, disabilities, and other individual differences. Customer Service - Anticipates and meets the needs of both internal and external customers.  Delivers high quality products and services; is committed to continuous improvement.
