Duties
Provides advice and guidance/develops and administers advance planning studies and acquisition strategy information for a wide range of weapon programs.
Represents the Agency to executives of private sector firms, and other government agencies, in assessing on-going and proposed weapon system acquisitions.
Coordinates the conduct of industrial capability studies for a wide array of weapon systems programs.
Assesses impact of such factors as changing technology, competitive foreign production, strategic use of requirements, and changing uses of associated commodities.
Provides industrial capability analysis training and guidance to Industrial Analysis Division (IAD) and field personnel on various industrial issues and topics.
Coordinates the planning, organization, and conduct of on-site manufacturing surveys of commercial and government facilities.
Develops plans for improving policies, procedures, methods, and techniques dealing with regulatory control over industry.
Develops and maintains statistical and historical industrial information on assigned facilities, sectors and/or commodities.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Industrial Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Performing industrial analysis on multiple defense weapon systems sectors
Experience in processes involved in manufacturing and/or production activities
Weapon systems development, production, and maintenance processes.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
