Duties

You will request, receive and maintain cognizance of approved funds; responsible for day-to-day management and administration of the organization's budget. You will prepare detailed plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned programs and/or participates with management in fiscal planning. You will conduct or participate in cost comparison/benefit studies of current or projected programs; develops lifecycle cost analyses of projects. You will perform research tasks to obtain a variety of cost, schedule, and performance data; analyzes data to derive relationships involving system parameters, schedule and cost variations.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing and using engineering management information systems; 2) Monitoring financial feedback reports and Integrated Program Management System Execution Plans; 3) Preparing consolidated reports; 4) Conducting interviews with supervisors and employees to obtain information about organizational missions, functions, and work procedures; and 5) Developing, analyzing, and maintaining process flow charts, as well as using computers and packaged software. GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing management support services in the areas of program cost analysis, annual/multi? year/long range fiscal planning, and development of annual work-plan(s); 2) Reviewing data involving system parameters, schedule and cost variations; 3) Conducting or participates in cost comparison/benefit studies of current or projected programs; develops lifecycle cost analyses of projects; 4) Preparing detailed plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned programs; 5) Requesting, receiving and maintaining cognizance of approved funds; responsible for day-to-day management and administration of the organization's budget; and 6) Providing support producing, analyzing and tracking Departmental metrics.
