You will serve as the Supervisory Division Head position in the DB1300M China Lake Range Instrumentation and Data Systems Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will ensure the mission focused readiness of the Division for all instrumentation capabilities, business operations (identifying current and future staffing requirements), facility space, equipment modernization, and sustainment requirements. You will ensure the effective management of capturing, distributing, and delivery of multiple quality decision data products in a timely manner to a wide-range of Navy, Joint Service, and Foreign Military Service customers. You will be responsible for the technical integration of data collection systems, data distribution systems, data processing systems, data display systems, and data security of those systems.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13/14) or pay band (NM-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Performing work related to Telemetry, Optical, and Data Transport systems for an organization; 2) Managing efforts related to system development and integration of complex telemetry, optical, and network systems; 3) Ensuring sound fiscal management by executing a budget in support of multiple programs and/or projects.
