You will serve as a Crime Analyst Clerk (OA) in the Provost Marshall Office of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.

Duties

You will perform a variety of administrative support task and duties. You will perform security background checks for clearances for base commands. You will be responsible for the distribution and issuance of Incident Complaint Reports (ICR) and Military Police Blotters. You will updates and tracks Command Authorization letters. You will establish controls and suspense dates and follows up on suspense dates to insure that required actions and responses are made within deadlines.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You must be able to obtain a government driver's license.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

GS: 06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following:1.) Maintaining, tracking, and analyzing base statistics for reports, 2.) Performing background checks for employment and all other request, 3.) Establishing and maintaining files of reports, journals, desk logs, statistical sheets, and traffic tickets; AND 4.) Properly handling, storing and destructing various types of paperwork. GS: 05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1.) Performing background checks for clearances 2.) Updating and distributing Military Police blotters; 3.) Maintaining filing systems; and 4.) Tracking data and statistical reports. GS: 05:

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

4 years above high school

OR

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
