Duties
Key advisor to the Chief of Office of Affairs on matters of policy, programs, and operations. Provides direct administrative support to the Chief through continuing assignments and special projects, as well as assistance in achieving specific program management objectives. Provides the Chief of the Office of Internal Affairs(OIA)with assistance in meeting the Department’s overall responsibility for development and review of plans, policies, program statements, operations memoranda, regulations, position accountability and budgets, to ensure optimum utilization of employees and financial resources. Coordinates, monitors, and oversees the upgrade and maintenance of the office physical plant. Performs reviews in the context of investigative reporting and findings, types of staff misconduct, and other specialty areas privy to the OIA.

Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
Experience providing leadership, direction and participating in multi-functional task forces, project teams, and other groups on a variety of projects having Bureau-wide impact that involve conducting evaluations, identifying problems, and developing policy and guidelines to improve programs.
Experience as a cost center manager, maintaining and certifying the availability of funds for the cost center, including the development of annual performance plans and targets, making purchasing decisions, and overseeing the status of obligations and expenditures against the cost center.
Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work, which required the applicant to deal effectively with others.
