Implements and administers the SAP information security program
Serve as Unit Security Manager for 46 TS/OL-A
Implements and administers the personnel security program
Implements and administers the physical security program
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework" -- Up to 80% telework possible (must reside in the local area)
- Obtain and maintain Security clearance of Top-Secret/Special Sensitive
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and
participation in random drug testing.
- Must be able to support occasional travel to CONUS locations
- Knowledge of required special access program (SAP) and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) security procedures
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with co-workers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission
- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification, Security Asset Protection Professional
Certification, and Special program Security Certification conferrals are required within 2 yrs of EOD
- In accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DOD Security Accreditation and Certification, the listed cert requirements may not be deleted/modified without written approval of the AF security Functional Authority or delegated representative.
- This certification requirement only applies to employees assigned to an indexed CPD or SCPD
position on or after 14 March 2016. Incumbent employees assigned on or before 13 march 2016 are not required
to obtain the DOD certification(s) listed above.
- This is a Financial Management Level (1, 2, or 3) Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d.
- Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.
- This position MAY be eligible for a recruitment/relocation incentive. Specifics will be discussed with the Selecting Official
- 2 years of experience in special access program security desired
- 2 years of experience in test program security desired

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located here
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is the ability to develop and implement personal and physical security plans and procedures (such as standard operating procedures, system security, program test, treaty preparation, deployment and OPSEC plans) as well as perform the duties of a Unit Security Manager.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of information, industrial, and personnel security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and
implement security programs in these areas.
2. Knowledge of required special access program (SAP) and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) security
procedures.
3. Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating SAP security programs to meet mission requirements and improve
the security program for the installation.
4. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with co-workers, contributing to a cooperative
working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
5. Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines.
