This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
Duties
Enters data into the database and uses data to maintain test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) Calibration Management Information System (TMIS).
Maintains Work Order Register, prepares required forms.
Performing administrative and office automation functions.
Schedules equipment, assigns priorities, etc., Coordinates with supervisor to make major changes in schedules to meet urgent customer requirements.
Receives a variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) for cyclic calibration and repair as prescribed by the Army Calibration Program.
Prepares a variety of graphs, charts, etc. that track the status and progress of work including showing delinquencies and their causes.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: gather items to be calibrated and determine the need of repair; receive and check in/out Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) in software database; maintain accurate audit records in an automated system; coordinate calibration and repair of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
