About the Position: The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) develops and delivers responsive aviation, missile and calibration materiel readiness to the U.S. Army. Duties
Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow and/or skill level.
Analyze logistical problems in aviation and missile systems to develop recommended courses of actions to resolve issues that arise during development or sustainment of a major weapon system.
Oversee the conduct of short and long-range planning to assure that adequate readiness support is available to maintain unit/system readiness.
Perform readiness studies and or special projects with the ultimate objective of improving readiness and/or supply availability of supported weapon system, which include preparing reports and formal written or oral briefings.
Supports Program Management Office logistics efforts in the development of maintenance concepts, supply support elements, and product improvement initiatives to ensure quality sustainment of weapon system.
Requirements
- The incumbent may be required to travel for position 10% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance for the duration of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing unit and material readiness analysis of aviation weapon systems; analyzing logistics problems in aviation and missile systems operational readiness; recommending corrective actions or solutions to eliminate/improve aviation/missile system deficiencies as it pertains to Sustainment Logistics; and planning and/or monitoring the work of others. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
