You will serve as an Instrument Mechanic in the Antenna Repair Shop (67H), Electronics Repair Division (TRF-730), Weapons Repair Department (TRF-700) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will inspect for damaged components, wear, faulty alignment, and excessive play or friction in bearings. You will perform checks on electrical/electronic components and wiring, linkages, gear engagements, and other mechanisms. You will coordinate efforts with and between other trades to accomplish proper installation and alignment. You will perform electrical and mechanical tests of repaired assemblies such as drive motors, synchros, servo systems, etc., in a test stand and on board submarines to assure they meet requirements. You will disassemble the various subsystems to the component level.

• Shift and overtime assignments will be made to meet operational needs.
• You may be required to travel as the need arises for purposes such as training, attendance at meetings, and participation in work efforts at other shore activities.
• Completion of specific training will be required.
• You must maintain an IT II level designation.

Inspecting assigned instruments and equipment and disassembling various subsystems.
