Duties
You will analyze accounting functions to identify regulatory and accounting changes, resource control functions, or operating level problems.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of programs and administrative operations.
You will develop solutions for resolving conflict between program and financial objectives.
You will plan work, set priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work.
You will provide development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting budgetary policies and practices; 2) Formulating of budgets and estimates to support plans, programs or activities; 3) Utilizing knowledge of financial policies, procedures and regulations in analyzing budgetary and accounting records and reports.
