About the Position: This position vacancy exists within PEO CS&CSS, Joint Program Office, Joint Light Tactical Vehicles. However, the referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in other organizations throughout the PEO CS&CSS and PEO GCS with duty stations located at both Warren and/or Selfridge Air National Guard Base, MI.
Duties
Serves as senior staff manager for program management for a major military vehicle or weapon system technology development program under PEO, Project, or Product Management.
Develops plans and objectives for assigned systems/programs.
Identifies areas needing emphasis and exercises leadership to ensure programmed system and subsystem time, cost and performance schedules are accurately established and met.
Develops, maintains, and coordinates a responsive financial management program to assure availability or resources to meet established milestones and events for development and fielding of the system.
Rolls plans up into total program, including schedules for the obligation and expenditure of funds to support program milestones.
Reviews, analyzes and evaluates accomplishment of overall program by review or reports, studies, products, and information provided by staff members, support personnel, contractors, and other agencies.
Makes formal and informal presentations outlining the history, current status, and objectives of functional responsibilities.
Exercises authority for statutory and regulatory reporting.
Plans and directs the work of supporting personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 10% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (K) Business - Financial Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
- This position requires FM CERTIFICATION LEVEL 2 (FMC02). Selectees must obtain Level 2 certification in the Department of Defense Financial Management program within 24 months of entrance on duty.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCED: In order to qualify for this position, you resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience at the NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent) level in the Federal Service that includes the ability to: 1) Evaluate cost/schedule/resources management and program reporting for one or more major vehicle system; 2) Provide program information input to assure adequate support to the program is provided and maintained; 3) Utilize technical knowledge of automated systems (enterprise systems such as GFEBS) to analyze and/or develop alternative solutions for budget issues (i.e. execution and/or budgeting/planning/programming); 4) Communicate project/program status to identify areas needing emphasis and to ensure costs and schedules are accurately planned and executed.
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent).
