About the Position: This is a Human Resource Assistant, GS-0203-06, with the U.S. Army Dental Command Central Dental Health Activity, Riley Office of Commander located in Fort Riley KS.
Duties
Serve as a human resources assistant for a Dental Activity (DENTAC).
Performs administrative and technical work supporting military and civilian human resources programs, operations, and functions.
Initiates and tracks requests for personnel actions (RPAs)including recruitments, reassignments, promotions, awards, performance evaluations, training requests and adverse actions.
Assists with ID Card acquisition, personnel manning, promotion packages, orders, transportation arrangements, transitions/separations, and casualty operations.
Reviews and verifies records to identify discrepancies and gaps in information.
Practical knowledge of administrative office support regulations, policies, procedures, rules, methods, practices, and techniques is needed to conduct reviews of operations.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Review and/or updating actions in an automated database. AND 2). Maintain records in accordance with an organization's established regulations. AND 3). Utilizes automated system to enter and track data, provide status updates, and ensure deadlines are met. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
