Duties
Design, plan, and analyze research, experimentation, and evaluation projects for survey activities.
Provide guidance and advice for various methodological issues, such as survey design strategies and data analysis.
Summarize research findings in reports and present findings to sponsors and stakeholders.
Provide leadership to meet the goals and objectives of statistical analyses, research, and evaluation projects and programs.

Minimum Education Requirement:
Degree: that included 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, of which at least 12 semester hours were in mathematics and 6 semester hours were in statistics?
Or
Combination of education and experience -- at least 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, including at least 12 hours in mathematics and 6 hours in statistics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
AND
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: Developing and adapting mathematical statistical theories, methods, and techniques to evaluate and improve statistical programs; Providing solutions to mathematical statistical issues; and utilizing software packages such as SAS, R and/or Python for statistical analysis and data visualization.
Education: Education can not be substituted at this grade level.
