This National Guard position is for a WING COMMAND CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT - Title 32, Position Description Number D2678000 and is part of the WI 115 FW, Wisconsin Air National Guard.

Duties

As a WING COMMAND CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT - Title 32, GS-0301-12, you will serve as the Wing Command Chief Master Sergeant (CCM), the Wing Senior Enlisted Leader and key member of the command's leadership team managing all military aspects of full time and traditional enlisted Airmen. A CCM is the commander's key enlisted advocate and advisor on operational effectiveness and the organization, training and equipping of enlisted Airmen. CCMs ensure the commanders' directions and policies are carried out and the Airmen understand and are dedicated to the mission of the command. CCMs are responsible for the professional development and proper utilization of the command's enlisted force. CCMs work in concert with other enlisted leaders such as group superintendents and first sergeants to oversee the readiness, training, health, morale, welfare, quality of life and force development of assigned personnel. ***Indefinite positions are not permanent and have no guarantee to continued employment. Indefinite employees may be subject to separation from employment at any time with a 30 day written notification. If the position becomes permanent, employee may be converted to a permanent appointment without further competition at management's discretion.***

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-0301-12 level, you must have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
