About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Print and Media Distribution Center located in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Duties

Performs supervisory and managerial duties and responsibilities. Manage the Army printing program by providing a full range of printing services by procuring Army products and departmental publications. Write reports and assessments of issues and provide recommendations. Ensure adequate internal controls are established to accurately account for the efficient and economical allocation and expenditure of financial resources.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • U.S. Citizenship is Required.
  • A secret clearance may be required.
  • May be required to travel up to 20% of the time away from normal duty location.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes exercising technical and operational leadership over the logistics of commercial print procurement or overseeing the process of printing departmental publications covered under the Army's Publishing Printing Program. Managing or overseeing the procurement of departmental and Headquarters Department of Army (HQDA) printing, binding and reproduction from the Government Publishing Office (GPO). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementBudget AdministrationOperations SupportWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
