About the Position: Serves as a Printing Specialist responsible for major printing programs and/or a functional component of the Agency. This position is located in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Duties

Serve as a technical point of contact with responsibility for ensuring publications are in accordance with established guidelines. Implement corrective action needed for printing deficiencies through appropriate resources. Research information on electronic publishing matters pertaining to technical, equipment, training, and doctrinal departmental publications. Analyze customer printing requests to determine feasibility from a production, timeliness, cost, and legal standpoint.. Implement the printing program by providing a full range of printing services and departmental publications. Produce technical recommendations for possible course of actions. Determine appropriate sources for the printing and binding services requested.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes: 1) Perform administrative and technical work which encompasses the processing, printing, and/or coordination of publication products; 2) Develop printing and binding specifications for the procurement and quality assurance of the organizations publications/printed products; AND 3) Maintain the organizations publication databases and validate the accuracy/completions of required data. The definition of the specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information ManagementOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
