Maintenance and repair of equipment and building systems which serve the entire Medical Center. Includes, not limited to, fire alarm system (including the fire sprinkler system), heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, electrical switch gear and the emergency generator system, steam distribution system, oxygen and other medical gas systems, elevator systems, etc. Insure these systems are in proper and safe operating condition; makes adjustments and emergency repairs as needed.

Duties

The Maintenance Mechanic works under the general supervision of the Supervisor/Team Lead. Performing a combination of maintenance, repair, modification, equipment operation and equipment inspection/certification involving diverse skills. Determines the type and extent of repairs or renovations needed, methods and techniques to use, parts or components required, and completes work typically with no check in progress. Ensures the end product meets all specified requirements. Major duties include but not limited to:
