This position is located under the Domiciliary Chief of the Residential Rehab Treatment Program (RRTP), Mental Health Service Line, St. Cloud VA Medical Center, St. Cloud, MN. Incumbent serves as administrative and program support for RRTP. The incumbent will also provide program analysis and data analysis as primary for RRTP, and secondarily for the Mental Health Service Line.
Duties
Major duties include but are not limited to:
Maintain accurate record of moves and activations.
Provide administrative, program accountability, and oversight to RRTP and Mental Health programs, as assigned.
Obtain, organize, file, retrieve reports, correspondence, and numerical data for use in preparing status reports, briefings, and presentations.
Recommend ways of improving procedures and processes.
Initiate and draft executive level memoranda, letters, commendations, and notifications within established timeframes.
Responsible for data entry, trend tracking and reporting, accurate evaluation of results, and enhancement of procedures to meet workload demands and program goals.
Advise on reports to measure progress and effectiveness of operations objectives.
Ensure compliance with federal law and VA regulation.
Analyze data and develop data collection routines for the utilization in a variety of reports.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm or 7:30am - 4:00pm (Evenings and weekends may be required.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for GS-05: You must qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-04) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: maintaining accurate records/files; providing administrative support to an organization (such as supply/equipment orders and audits); preparing various correspondence, such as executive level memoranda, letters, and notifications; and creating or analyzing a variety of reports to measure progress or effectiveness of operational objectives. OR,
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have completed 4 years of education above high school at an accredited business, secretarial or technical college, junior college, college, or university. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED) OR,
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond the first 60 semester hours (the second year) that totals 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements you meet, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed semester hours beyond the second year (EX: 75 semester hours - 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED)
