This position is located at Departmental Offices,Management CFO- Info Systems and CIO. As a/an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will serve as a member of the Treasury Shared Services Security Operations Center (TSSSOC) team as an expert in cyber security technologies and practices.
Duties
As a/an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:
Lead cyber security operations at a technical capacity, influence policy, develop process and procedures, the creation and analyses of cyber security (CS) metrics; assess cyber risks; develop risk mitigation plans; and ensure cyber security compliance with requirements as driven by federal law, regulations and other guidance.
Deliver responsive, cost-effective, innovative, reliable and secure technology; and support enterprise infrastructure shared services in support of Treasury's mission.
Coordinate with the senior leadership teams on cyber security issues and policies as they relate to the Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014, OMB Circular A-130, Director of National Intelligence and Department of Homeland Security Directives, and NIST, NSA, and CNSS security standards and guidelines.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience supporting cyber security operations in a leadership capacity; AND
Experience directing the execution of computer security incident response procedures; AND
Experience providing technical expertise in the area of computer network defense to include network intrusion detection, network event analysis and correlation, and network flow analysis.
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
