You will serve as a AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC TRAINING LEADER in the Public Works Business Line Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Duties

You will prepare, coordinate, and conduct established classroom trade theory instruction and on-the-job training for apprentices. You will revise and adapts daily lesson plans. You will prepare period updates related to training records and reports to the Trades Development Program Manager; provides periodic appraisals for the apprentice to document attendance, academic and OJT progress and accomplishments. You will schedule and coordinate on-the-job training with various shops and assures that OJT is appropriate and aligned with training plan. You will train apprentices in the best method for correcting malfunctions; and skill to make repairs to a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You must possess a National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) craft instructor certification or obtain within six months of entering the position and renew every three years.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Environmental Protection Agency CFC/HFC Certification (Universal).
