About the Position: This position is with Department of Behavioral Health, Family Advocacy Program, Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, Colorado. Relocation expenses will not be paid.

Duties

Work independently as a licensed clinical social worker using advanced concepts, principles, procedures, practices, professional knowledge and sound judgment. Conduct comprehensive and complex risk assessments, clinical interviews, and psychosocial assessment of children and adults. Provide therapeutic treatment to victims, offenders and family members of those involved in domestic violence or child abuse or neglect. Make treatment recommendations to the multi-disciplinary Family Advocacy Program Case Review Committee.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires a Childcare National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (CNACI) background investigation and has periodic re-verification requirements.
• This is an Inclement Weather Essential position, you must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
• This position is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training and certification sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA). Advanced certification (e.g., Advanced Life Support) does not supersede BLS completion.
• This position may require occasional on call duties.
• Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges
• A current and valid state driver's license is required. Some local and regional travel may be required.
• A pre-employment medical examination is required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Selective Placement Factor: This position requires 2 years of experience working in the field of child abuse and domestic abuse. License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
