About the Position: Serves as procurement coordinator and administrator for Public Affairs (PA) programs. Utilizing training and experience in program management, the Federal Budget process, and DOD procurement/contracting specialties, provides expertise and leadership for the managerial and budgetary portions of highly classified DOD/DA acquisition projects. This position is located in Arlington, VA.
Duties
Review and prepare procurement packages for procurement of equipment and services based on statement of work, technical specifications or name brand item justifications.
Analyze cost incurred to ensure that projected expenditures do not vary significantly from obligations.
Plan, manage, coordinate and execute a comprehensive surveillance program to ensure that the various support services, deliverables and/or commodities furnished under contracts meet organizational needs.
Responsible for contract surveillance and quality assurance oversight of various DoD and DA acquisition projects.

Specialized Experience:
GS-12:
One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the review of contracts or contract changes; establishing compliance with contractual requirements; reviewing contractor furnished costs, and/or performance status reports; and preparing a variety of acquisition and planning documents, reports, and/or briefing materials. This specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
GS-13:
One year of specialized experience which includes conducting reviews of contracts or contract changes; reviewing contractor furnished cost, contract, and/or performance status reports; analyzing a variety of acquisition documents to include reports and/or briefing materials; and maintaining quality assurance oversight of various acquisition projects. This specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11/12).
