About the Position: This position is located in the Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Washington. Tacoma is a diverse city nestled between Seattle and the state capital of Olympia. Duties

Perform vegetable preparation and patient tray service functions including assembling and dispensing of condiments, vegetables, desserts, beverages, fruits, meats for the dining room and patient tray service. Follow specific recipes to prepare a variety of uncooked fruit, vegetables, macaroni, gelatin salads and desserts. Operate scales and measuring devices, potato peeler, food chopper, vertical meat cutter, mixer, and meat tenderizers. Perform cleaning tasks required to keep work areas, equipment, refrigerators and freezers in a clean and sanitary condition. Assemble and dispensing of food items on patient trays and working in all patient-serving areas. Operate cash registers receiving payment for meals.

Incumbent is subject to extremes of temperature in bringing supplies from walk-in refrigerators. There is danger of slipping on wet floors which are wet from daily mopping or where food or beverage has been dropped.
