You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Supply & Logistics Department, Project Support Division
of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will provide project planning and oversight for Job Readiness Cells (JRC) created to support repair and maintenance work by ensuring the timely and efficient provision of all necessary materials, tools, and equipment to complete required tasks.
You will support all areas of the project's JRCs including production set-up, planning, logistics, interfacing and supporting project material managers, work package and control, work test control, and trouble desk functions.
You will manage material planning, acquisition, storage, delivery, kitting, issue, material technical work instructions, funding principles, and procedures necessary to organize and ensure material required for each job is provided when needed.
You will initiate and oversee a project job readiness strategy, review written job summaries, technical work document references, material tracking information, and project facility plans to ensure completeness and accuracy.
You will plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee all JRC functions to ensure timely implementation of project plans and to mitigate risks impacting the accomplishment of project objectives.
You will plan work to be accomplished, set and adjust priorities, evaluate work performance, advise and counsel employees on both work and administrative matter.
You will coach and mentor subordinate supervisors on work practices, resource management, and methods for evaluating and improving employee performance.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- Work may require visits onboard ships, travel up and down vertical ladders and to lift and carry items such as supplies that may weigh up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing and planning the storage and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to complete required project availabilities for supporting ship repair projects.
