About the Position: This position is under the control of ILSC, Supply Chain Integration Directorate, Sourcing Division, OIB Sourcing Branch.

Duties

upports the commands strategic decisions to repair existing items versus buy new items according to requirements identified by the supply plan. Supports the commands strategic decisions to use OIB for repair or manufacture vice contractor repair, when applicable. Proactively identifies new opportunities for OIB work through analysis and validation of OIB capabilities and supply plans to improve the utilization of the OIB and the effectiveness and efficiency of the supply chain. Validates the dependent demand forecast and the due-ins from the OIB to ensure the OIB inputs to the supply plan are accurate. Performs analysis to identify gaps in dependent demand forecast accuracy or due-in accuracy. Supports the weapon system manager to develop and document the supply and maintenance strategy, in applicable documentation, in accordance with policy and regulatory guidance. Supports the planning, development, implementation, and management of effective and affordable product support strategies for supply and maintenance throughout the life cycle for weapons, materiel or information systems. Supports and supply and maintenance planning impact to system performance, life cycle management and supportability requirements in accordance with applicable repair parts (Class II and IX) supply policy in support of sustainability goals. Facilitates coordination with TACOM ILSC sustainment teams and OIB operations teams to set conditions for effective Depot Program support for both new and ongoing depot program requirements. Coordinates with TACOM ILSC sustainment teams and OIB operations teams to perform depot program support activities. Developing and reviewing depot program scope of work, determining the necessary level of repair, completing cost estimate requests, verifying funding availability, supporting funding coordination for repair programs. Facilitate updates to the Repairable Bill of Materials (RBOMs), evaluating and facilitating updates to the Depot Overhaul Factor (DOF), monitoring the rate of return and scrap rate to ensure sufficient assets are available. Conducts ongoing assessments of repair programs to ensure on-time delivery of due-ins or prompt notification of delayed status. Tracks open deliveries and communicates between the depot, OIB operations, and supply chain to facilitate proactive delivery status updates. Facilitates depot program support activities to prevent or proactively resolve any delayed status for due-ins from the OIB. Proactively communicates status of depot programs and delivery delays to leadership. Supports working level commodity reviews and Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) meetings with other supply chain functions and sustainment teams to review supply plans, collect additional data, and assess performance.
