Job opening: SUPERVISORY GRADUATE EDUCATION SPECIALIST

You will serve as a Supervisory Graduate Education Specialist in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (DCNO) for the Warfighting Department (N7) of IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS.

Duties

You will provide oversight over subordinate Education Program Analyst positions and administering CIVINS educational programs. You will set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will interview candidates for positions; Resolve complaints; Provide and arrange needed development and training. You will research and recommend to supervisors Navy-wide policies and procedures for the CIVINS program. You will attend meetings to include quota conferences and curriculum review. You will develop and execute the CIVINS office budget, ensuring maximum and efficient utilization of available assets and resources. You will ensures that all claims, vouchers, invoices, and purchase requisitions are processed promptly and accurately. You will Serve as the final approving authority for certification of invoices.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Graduate Education Specialist specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical Knowledge and supervision to ensure the proper execution of Navy Civilian educational programs. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Attends meetings to discuss curriculum reviews and quota conferences; 2) Researches, develops and analyzes data to make recommendations to policy writers via chain of command; 3) Formulates and prepares budget estimates and maintains budget requirements; 4) Ensures claims, vouchers, invoices and purchase requisitions are processed promptly and accurately; and 5) Plans work to be accomplished, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepare work completion schedule of assigned staff members. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
