You will serve as a PRODUCTION TRAINING SPECIALIST (NUCLEAR) in the Production Training Division of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will develop and implement team qualifications, training and training plans, through the use of automated training management system (ATMS) or equivalent programs. You will develop and implement team competencies and competency tracking through the use of ATMS or equivalent programs. You will provide briefings, instruction and training to ensure the production/project team members receive the knowledge and tools needed to successfully plan and execute Guam Detachment projects. You will develop metrics and measures to assess the effectiveness of initial and continued production/project training, and the effectiveness in meeting Guam Detachment and NAVSEA level goals and objectives. You will execute training program and associated administrative functions, including scheduling classes/students/instructors, recordkeeping, qualification maintenance, training package approvals, etc.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
  • You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: working with production trades and trade functions within a shipyard, applying procedures and processes associated with the repair and overhaul of complex Navy vessels; and developing sound and progressive talent development programs that provide opportunities to enhance employee competencies and close skill gaps; review and improve qualifications, training standards and expectations. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: working with production trades and trade functions within a shipyard, developing sound and progressive talent development programs that provide opportunities to enhance employee competencies and close skill gaps. Education

GS-11: In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
