Duties

Serves as the DLA Program Protection and Supply Chain Security program manager located in DLA Intelligence (DI), Security Division (DIS). Responsible for providing Enhanced Operational Support services to DLA Supply Chain Security Components that incorporates aspects of intelligence and counterintelligence threat analysis, Operations Security (OPSEC), and operational risk management. Assists all activities efforts with Open-Source Research and Analysis (OSRA), as well as reviewing and analyzing classified products with a nexus to Supply Chain Security. Applies expert judgment and ingenuity in operational risk management through interpreting information and providing recommendations or making decisions. Develops, promulgates, and ensures OSRA activities comply with U.S. law, policies, standards, controls, and restrictions on the use of specialized measures within DoD and other U.S. Government departments and agencies.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Security Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Planning, organizing, evaluating, maintaining, and administering an agency's supply chain security program. Analyzes, identifies, and implements innovative and improved techniques, methods, procedures and approaches to safeguard, eliminate or control the impact of adversary attacks. Providing expert advice, assessment, and direction on a broad range of highly technical issues involving Critical Infrastructure, anti-terrorism measures, and contingency planning in all matters relating to Supply Chain Security. Developing funding requirements in support of the overall Supply Chain Security efforts within their span of control, as well as any subordinate element programs, training, assessments, and surveys. Serving as a point of contact for internal and external organizations involving activities related to security. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
