About the Position: The position is located in Fort Belvoir, VA. Duties

Serves as an Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Officer. Develops a Force Protection program to protect Department of Defense (DOD) personnel, facilities, automated information, and assets from an entire spectrum of threats including terrorism by assessing Antiterrorism/Force Protection needs. Assists with the implementation of the crisis management program planning and execution in the event of terrorist attack or other emergency situations. Develops the installation Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) related plans, assessments, exercises, and coordinates these fully within the installation, its tenant organizations and supporting agencies.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires a Top Secret Security clearance.
• This position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program.
• This position is designated a "Key" position, in the event of a national crisis or war, incumbent must be able to work shift work or varying shifts beyond the eight-hour day.
