You will serve as a PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the MARINE CORPS WARFIGHTING LABORATORY of MARINE CORPS COMBAT DEVELOPMENT CMD.
Duties
You will analyze, evaluate, interpret and apply personnel security regulations, guidelines and standards across the SAP, CAP, STO, SCI and Collateral spectrums.
You will review, validate, verify and transmit derogatory information, providing relevant facts to assist management in making determinations on continued access to national security information.
You will provide personnel security guidance to geographically dispersed employees and other security specialists within the MCWL security structure.
You will conducts personnel security indoctrinations and debriefs of command and contractor personnel when appropriate.
You will maintain knowledge of all current applicable executive orders, directives, regulations, and programs that govern the Department of Defense, Department of Navy, Marine Corps and Intelligence Community personnel security programs.
You will recommend changes in the Personnel Security Program (PSP) as it relates to work requirements within personnel security and their impact on administrative functions with the Personnel Security Group.

- This is a DoD Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position. The DoD Security Fundamental Professional Certification (SFPC) is required within 2 years of assuming the position and must be maintained through the length of appointment.
- This is a DoD Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position. The Special Program Security Certificate (SPSC) is required within 2 years of assuming the position and must be maintained through the length of appointment.
- This is a DoD Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position. The Process Adjudicator Professional Credential (DPAPC) is required within 2 years of assuming the position and must be maintained through the length of appointment.
- This is a DoD Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position. TheAdjudicator Professional Cert (APC) is required within 2 years of assuming the position and must be maintained through the length of appointment.
- Certifications must be obtained within two years from date of hire, promotion, reassignment, or placement into a SPeD indexed position.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing customer support duties in the area of the personnel security program, to include interpreting, evaluating, and integrating personnel security regulations, processes, and disciplines that impact classified and sensitive programs.
