About the Position: The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM (AC) ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. DEVCOM (AC) has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.
Duties
Applies comprehensive knowledge of the administrative laws, policies, and regulations.
Participates in formal and informal meetings conferences, committees, and seminars with representatives of other functional areas
Solves day-to-day technical problems to assure timely and successful project completion.
Serves as the command liaison for emergency planning and response operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12/ DE-02 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Applying Federal, State, and local environmental laws, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance and minimize risks; 2) Provides technical support by conducting analyses required by Emergency Management (EM) such as working to identify and develop solutions and policies regarding emergency management. Review and approve required reports for external distribution. 3) Plans readiness exercises and maintains crisis management program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02).
