The position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), Salisbury VA Health Care System (SVAHCS), Office of the Chief of Staff, Salisbury, NC. The primary duties of the position are to perform clinical, administrative and technical data support for Whole Health to ensure the coordinated implementation and optimum operation for the Whole Heath System of Care (WHS).

Duties

Administrative Functions: Manages the credentialing and privileging requirements for Whole Health clinical team members. Monitors the completion and timeliness of the clinical pertinence reviews submitted (10 per quarter for each provider). Manages the service clinic profiles and encounter completion. Ensures accurate creation, validation, inactivation, suspension, and management of clinic profiles for Whole Health team. Maintains calendar and schedules appointments and conferences for the WHS Administrative Team. Serves as unit timekeeper, initiating, and maintaining all required records. Fiscal Budget, Clinic and Record Management: Tracks achievement on performance measures, goals, and objectives. Develops and coordinates administrative and budget components for Whole Health activities. Prepares the budget to address needed supplies and expenses. Serves as the Whole Health Contracting Officer Representative. Program Resources Services and Support: Completes special projects in support of the policy development and/or technical/program activities. Assists managers and technical specialists in identifying areas for significant improvement to expand Whole Health integration and implementation throughout the SVAHCS. Performs other directly related duties as assigned. Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday Virtual: This is not a virtual position. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/17/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-7 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Ability to communicate in writing in order to prepare memoranda, letters, policies, procedures, and a wide variety of reports, knowledge of time and attendance reporting using VATAS as a primary timekeeper., knowledge of the major issues in Whole Health, to include complementary and integrative health modalities, along with compliance of local, agency, and national program requirements including policy, procedures, mandates and legislation at the local, agency, and national levels to oversee regulation and compliance, of Joint Commission requirements for maintenance of the provider notebooks and the Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation(OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluations(FPPE), working knowledge of Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA). OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a masters or equivalent degree OR Two (2) full years of graduate education. OR, Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond graduate education.. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:ClericalInterpersonal SkillsTechnical Competence Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary. The work requires some walking, standing, bending, lifting and carrying light items such as paper, books, and charts.
