Duties
The Computer Assistant (Hearings Operations Systems Administrator) serves as the primary adviser to management in the use of automated data processing (ADP) systems with responsibility for oversight, management and maintenance of ADP systems in a multi-operating system environment and as liaison with vendor representatives. This environment entails programming and processing, as well as administration and management of word processing, data processing, telecommunications, batch processing, database management/programming, electronic spreadsheet processing/programming and security.

You may qualify at the GS-07 grade level (starting salary at $47,738) with at least one year of full-time work experience independently
performing all or most of the following tasks:(1) Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software within a networking
system; (2) Provide advice and support to management in a multi-operating system environment and acts as a liaison with vendor
representatives; (3) Administer and manage various word processing, data processing, and security programs; and (4) Provide analytical, technical, and administrative support to users. (Your resume must fully support these responses; otherwise, you will be found ineligible)
You may qualify at the GS-08 grade level (starting salary at $52,867) with at least one year of full-time work experience independently performing all or most of the following tasks: (1) Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software within a networking system; (2) Provide advice and support to management in a multi-operating system environment and acts as a liaison with vendor representatives; (3) Administer and manage various word processing, data processing, and security programs; (4) Provide analytical, technical, and administrative support to users; and (5) Prepare written instructions and provide training on use of software. (Your resume must fully support these responses; otherwise, you will be found ineligible)
You may qualify at the GS-09 grade level (starting salary at $58,392) with at least one year of full-time work experience independently performing all or most of the following tasks: 1. Installs, configures, upgrades and troubleshoots hardware and software within a networking system; 2. Provides advice and support to management in a multi-operating system environment and acts as a liaison with vendor representatives; 3. Administers and manages various word processing, data processing, and security programs; 4. Provides analytical, technical, and administrative support to users; 5. Prepares written instructions and provides training on use of software; and 6. Develops and maintain databases. Note: Part-time work is prorated in crediting experience (e.g., if you work 20 hours per week for a 12-month period), you will be credited with 6 months of experience.
