About the Position: Serve as Executive Officer and principal assistant to the Director, Installation Services
Directorate, (IS), a two-star equivalent member of the Senior Executive Service (SES), within the
Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff G-9 (ODCS G-9).
Duties
Serve as Executive Officer and principal assistant to the Director, Installation Services Directorate.
Work collaboratively with the Executive Officer to the Deputy Chief of Staff G-9 and other Executive Officers within the organization.
Provide comprehensive support to the Directorate relating to schedules, projects, correspondence, and liaison with Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff G-9 Front Office.
Provide guidance and leadership in providing effective methods to resolve problems to assure that the Director's objectives are being met.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain secret clearance.
- Position requires TDY up to 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing regulation and/or policy to determine the impact on mission accomplishment; Preparing strategic projects that affect the entire organization; Manage activities such as logistics, contract management or inquiries; and maintaining work calendars for high level officials to ensure meetings are conducted in a timely manner. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
