You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Financial Management Division, Vendor Pay Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will validate financial data using accounting and budgetary principles and practices.
You will receive and track financial correspondence.
You will perform basic accounting, auditing, or budgeting tasks in support of a financial management program.
You will prepare routine financial reports, fact sheets, or correspondence with financial information.
You will collect financial data and making basic computations.
You will extract budget or program data using a financial management systems (e.g., funds management system, Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP)).
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in validating financial data using well-established accounting and budgetary principles and practices; 2) Extracting budget or program data using a financial management system e.g., funds management system, Navy, Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) system, or similar system) to review and analyze funding actions from accounting records, forms, and reports; 3) Collecting financial data and making basic computations according to established standards and; 4) Preparing routine financial reports, fact sheets, or correspondence that provided financial information.
GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Receiving and tracking financial correspondence; 2) Utilizing existing desk guides to process routine financial transactions and; 3) Assisting in performing basic accounting, auditing, or budgeting tasks in support of financial management program.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
You must have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree;
OR
have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree;
OR
have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.

OR
You must have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.

OR
You must have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.

You must have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
