This position is in the Public Works Division of the Facilities Engineering Department at U.S Coast Guard, Coast Guard Training Center Petaluma (TRACEN), in Petaluma, CA.
Duties
The incumbent is the Utilities Branch Chief and responsible for the operations, maintenance and compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements of the water treatment and distribution system, wastewater collection, treatment and disposal system, fuel storage and distribution system, power distribution system onboard TRACEN Petaluma.

Qualifications
Applicants at the GS-11 Level must possess at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 Level in the Federal Service.
Examples of specialized experience may include:
Managing a maintenance program, planning maintenance activities and developing preventive maintenance programs.
Evaluating facilities for compliance with applicable codes and regulations;
Developing facility maintenance plans that include the oversight of construction activity;
Conducting research and analysis of buildings and grounds to locate and solve potential or unusual problems;
Coordinating with others to change plans, methods, and procedures to prevent problems; and
Experience leading, supervising and directing subordinates.
OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if relatedApplicants at the GS-12 Level must possess at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at leaser the GS-11 Level in the Federal Service.

Maintaining facility plans for both minor and major improvements and repairs.
