This position is assigned to Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center (BC), Management Service Division, Business Management Branch.
Duties to include:
Works with liaisons, contractors, Federal employees, and external partners concerning each aspect of an event is correctly scheduled
For Kansas City this is a NTEU Bargaining Unit position.
Duties
Conceives, develops, and implements outreach strategies designed to reach and engage stakeholders in collaborative efforts dealing with event operations.
Provides operational event logistic support and oversight for event planning functions, events, conferences, trainings, ceremonies, and seminars.
Leads event booking and scheduling for internal and external customers and clients to include event booking; meeting and space planning, registration, cost projections, billing-revenue procedures.
Oversees logistics event including lodging and meeting room negotiations, food and beverage request, IT requests, room setups, and special requests.
Works closely with liaisons, contractors, onsite Federal employees, and external partners to ensure information concerning each aspect of an event is correctly scheduled, ensuring consistent and reliable administrative and support services.
Provides Federal Acquisition Regulation and Department of Agriculture travel policy interpretations to customers and make recommendations to achieve goals and advise customers based on event requirements.
Collects and analyzes data and prepares reports on such issues as the feasibility of resources for planned events, significant agency priorities and possible long-term impact on the agency's overall mission.
Requirements

Qualifications
Specialized Experience GS-09: To qualify for this position, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the Federal GS-7 level or higher, that has equipped you with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. For this position, specialized experience is defined as work performed in an office setting that is in or related to the work of this position. Examples of specialized experience include Performing duties in support of a variety of business operations, administrative services, and/or management support programs and functions (e.g. leasing, information technology, procurement, purchasing, agreements, access control, training). Gathering information, identifying and analyzing issues and/or participating in activities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in support of organizational program objectives. Using automated systems and databases to accomplish work activities, prepare spreadsheets, manipulate data and produce analysis reports and spreadsheets.

EDUCATION SUBSTITUTE: Possess 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B., or J.D., if related. COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possess a combination of graduate-level education and experience, as described above, may be used to qualify for this position. To Qualify for GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized Experience at the GS-11 is defined as experience defined as executing a full range of special events/official functions to include: 1) providing advice, guidance to management customers and make recommendations; 2) coordinating events and providing operational event logistic support for event planning functions; AND 3) assessing and improving effectiveness of the event planning process through application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative data.

Education Substitution: 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of graduate-level education and experience, as described above, may be used to qualify for this position. This combination must have equipped you with the necessary knowledge and/or experience to successfully perform the duties of this position.
