This position is located at Freedom Lanes Bowling and Entertainment Center at NAS Jacksonville. The purpose of this position is to assist with the daily operation of the bowling center.
Duties
Receives and records on cash register money received from patrons for use of facility, retail merchandise, equipment and facility rental.
Answers phone providing information about facility, equipment, hours of operation and programs offered.
Receives, records and makes reservations for use of the facility. Maintains a change fund.
Prepares a daily activity report at the end of shift and deposits funds at the Navy Exchange cash office.
Assists with general housekeeping of facility such as; policing grounds, sweeping and dusting of work area, emptying trash receptacles and cleaning of restrooms.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must reside within a 50 mile radius of 32212 at time of applying.
- Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
- Must have current CPR/First Aide certification or be willing to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
- Males must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. https://www.sss.gov/register/
- Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
Qualifications

One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Knowledge and ability to operate a computerized point of sale system and provide proper change.
Must have a basic knowledge of a bowling operation.
Must have the ability to meet and deal effectively with a variety of patrons of varied rates, ranks and backgrounds.
Must be able to work in and at times stressful environment as this position is the first line of contact with patrons and must have the ability to answer related questions during extremely busy times.
Must be able to exercise good judgment in applying well established policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
