About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Sill, OK.
Duties
Assess the security posture of classified and unclassified Information Systems (ISs) using a variety of automated tools.
Perform analysis to determine root causes of vulnerabilities and best methodology to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
Collect audit and usage data and prepare reports for senior-management.
Perform assignments related to risk assessments, program planning, monitoring, and/or coordination of the systems life cycle functions.
Develop organization policy and procedures for implementation of guidance from higher level authorities and provide advantages and disadvantages of different approaches to management.
Lead or participate in on-site surveys and/or reviews program information to determine status of the functions and adequacy and quality of services.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET security clearance eligibility.
- In performing above duties, overtime and shift work may be required on short notice to include nights, holidays, and weekends in support of related mission requirements.
- Required to possess a valid state driver's license to operate a passenger vehicle for operating government vehicles.
- This position may be subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by conducting network security and vulnerability scans using various scanning tools; scanning of all servers, devices, and workstations on the network to validate compliance; performing impact analysis on all proposed security and technical changes to the network; and providing technical expertise recommendations and directions for networking initiatives to those assigned to projects.
