The Antitrust Division (Division) is seeking to fill Secretary (Office Automation) positions in the Division's Civil Program. Secretaries play an important role in each enforcement section within the Division, performing administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties in support of staff engaged in civil investigations of antitrust and related offenses.

Duties

As a Secretary (Office Automation) in the Civil Program, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and others to support the law-enforcement mission. Making travel arrangements using the E2 travel system for all staff within the section, as required; preparing and submitting travel authorizations and vouchers; working with Executive Office personnel as needed to ensure compliance with government travel requirements. Maintaining adequate inventory and organization of office supplies and serving as purchase card holder for the section. Coordinating with other personnel as needed to ensure functioning office equipment such as printers and copiers. Preparing scanned documents, photocopies, binders, and other materials as requested by staff in the section. Coordinating meetings and conferences through Microsoft Outlook. Maintaining official case files, including pleadings, correspondence, memoranda, logs, and transcripts etc., and other section files. Receiving and answering telephone inquiries in a prompt and professional manner. Assisting with trial preparation (i.e., preparing witness dossiers and exhibits, shipping material and supplies to trial sites, filing); communicating and coordinating with local court and U.S. Attorney personnel regarding trial and hearing logistics and resources. Preparing legal documentation upon request. Providing assistance during trials, as necessary; preparing exhibits (i.e., locating, printing, collating, redacting etc.), exhibit lists and tables of contents, and quality checking binders and electronic folders of exhibits. Serving as timekeeper for the section, ensuring all T&A requirements are fulfilled (i.e., modifying T&A data, sending validation reminders, resetting passwords etc.). Acting as records liaison for the section; and Performing other administrative tasks and related special projects as needed. Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-7 grade level, your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level. Specialized experience is experience that has provided you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to this position being filled. This experience must be identified in your resume. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the GS-6 grade level include: Making travel arrangements (i.e., plane, train, hotel reservations), using an automated travel system, preparing associated travel requests and authorizations, and submitting travel vouchers; Preparing, typing, and proofreading legal documentation, correspondence, and reports using electronic programs; Receiving and answering telephone inquiries; and Maintaining calendars and arranging meetings using an automated program.
