You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Fleet and Family Readiness Department of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 9.28% will be added to the stated salary.

Duties

You will administer the annual budget process in order to obtain resources for the execution of the program. You will monitor current and projected Unaccompanied Housing (UH) requirements to ensure programmed revitalization and demolition of existing housing are scheduled and meets identified timelines. You will assign work to staff members based on priorities and capabilities of the employees to ensure work is completed. You will advise management on housing issues and concerns in order to provide suitable resolutions that comply with governing housing regulations and procedures. You will resolve with other stake holders issues and problems relating to executed unaccompanied housing projects.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as principal advisor and program manager on unaccompanied housing policy for the command; 2) Assisting in the resolution of significant program issues related to unaccompanied housing (UH); 3) Conducting of all required surveys and inspections for the review of all required reports, both financial and non-financial; 4) Determining requirements and manages all resources used in support of assigned housing facilities and infrastructure, including personnel, facilities, training, funds and materials; and 5) Monitoring monthly expenses against budget.
