About the Position: This position is serving as the Antiterrorism Deputy Program Manager/Protection Coordinator for U.S. Army Materiel Command, DCS G-3 for Operations, Operation and Readiness Directorate, Protection Division, on Redstone, Arsenal, Alabama
Duties
Monitor and execute the command?s Antiterrorism, and other major security program areas within the Army Protection programs to ensure compliance with current directives.
Provides assistance and oversight of installation and Major Subordinate Command programs in support of the command?s protection mission.
Collect, analyze, and organize information on security activities, progress, and resource utilization.
Develop and implement security operational guidance to be followed by AMC organizations and activities.
Reviews policy letters and directives, procedures and regulations to help ensure AMC installations are in full compliance.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 30% of the time.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening and random testing thereafter.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating installation and Major Subordinate Commands Protection/Antiterrorism Programs; performing routine action officer staffing such as taskers and data calls; providing information/decision papers and briefings to assist commanders to understand and accept or reduce risk within their Protection Programs; and provides guidance and advice on the interpretation and implementation of Protection Program Policies. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
