About the Position: Serves as an Inventory Management Specialist (Procurement) in Army Materiel Command (AMC). AMC delivers logistics, sustainment, and materiel readiness from the installation to the forward tactical edge to ensure globally dominant land force capabilities.
Duties
The employee develops the use of a broad range of supply program relationships to support readiness by ensuring the timely development and initiation of procurement actions.
Develops expertise in procurement coordination and supplier performance management.
Coordinates development of requirements packages and acquisition strategies.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02)/(GS-05 to GS-09 equivalent) in the Federal service which includes experience in 1) Providing life cycle supply support programs of varying levels of complexity. 2) Performing supply/inventory functions such as determination of requirements, initial distributions, and or supply fund management. And 3) Performing full range of inventory management functions to include maintaining of auditable records;
or
Successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as inventory management . (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.);
or
The specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. Computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.);
