About the Position: Fort Drum, the home of the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), is located in Northern New York, a historically unique and geographically beautiful area, offering bountiful outdoor recreational opportunities from hunting and fishing to winter sports of all types. Fort Drum is approximately 30 miles from Canada, with the Great Lakes to the west, the Adirondack Mountains to the east, and the St. Lawrence River and Thousand Islands in between.

Duties

Provides training, to internal public works employees, in software, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)/utility monitoring and control system (UMCS) equipment and components, electronics, instrumentation, and work methods. Improves HVAC system reliability, performance, and economy by recommending and implementing changes in mechanical, hardware, and software operations. Designs and implements UMCS software flow control logic within vendor specific software programming packages. Maintains Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems comprised of major components such as computers, workstations, laptops, servers, supervisory and unit level controllers, programmable stimulus and measurement subsystems, memory storage devices, etc.
