About the Position: Serves as an Operations Specialist to four Army Watch Teams in the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) G-3/5/7, Operations, Readiness and Mobilization Directorate (DAMO-OD), Army Operations Center (AOC). The incumbent works under the general supervision of AOC leadership. The AOC monitors and reports current Army operations and Chief of Staff of the Army's (CSA) Critical Information Requirements.
Duties
Coordinate staff actions with leadership to ensure accuracy.
Develop and implement special projects as required by Army Senior Leaders.
Ensure all Watch Team actions and products are prepared to standard and team personnel are properly
trained in standard operating procedures.
Prepare briefings and other correspondences.
Conduct detailed research and analysis in preparing staff actions for assigned tasks.
Schedule meetings, set up telephonic and video teleconferencing sessions, maintain distribution lists, and
disseminate notifications.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial period may be required.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees
will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
- Frequently, may be required to be on a two or four-hour recall.
- May be required to carry a phone and/or pager (Government furnished).
- Must participate in any "call back" drills conducted by the organization (unless on approved leave).
- Work may require travel by military or commercial aircraft or other modes of travel away from the normal duty
station to locations within and outside of the Continental United States.
- Travel may be on very short notice and may be under field conditions.
- The duties of this position may require occasional TDY up to 5%.
- This position requires working within an Alternate Work Schedule.
- This position requires the incumbent to be on a short notice alert, marshal, and deployment recall for up to 30
days.
- This position requires the incumbent to maintain a 30 days 'deployment bag'.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the coordination of staff actions; preparing briefings for senior leaders; and scheduling communications for leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
