As Deputy Director within the Business Office, Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD), oversees three teams of analysts providing: administrative (including IT and HR) services, resources management and policy development support, and resources analysis/management to the Moon-to-Mars Program. You will guide and oversee management of administrative resources, development of policy aligned with Agency vision and mission, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Duties

Coordinates and communicates Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD) resources and administrative requirements and processes with internal and external organizations. Manages ESDMD personnel actions and coordinates adequate and balanced resource support across all programs and other areas of responsibility, including utilization of detailees when appropriate. Provides an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports constructive resolution of conflicts. Assigns branch responsibilities and work products including setting Office schedules and due dates to ensure deadlines are met as well as reviewing Office work products ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidance. Provides business-related direction and guidance to Office staff, as well as across programs and divisions supported. Advises ESDMD management as necessary on budget, business planning, and other issues related to supported programmatic areas.

Requirements

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Leading teams and/or work groups to identify and manage resources for programs and projects; Providing advice and guidance to branch members, programs, and divisions regarding business planning, and programmatic matters; Collecting/analyzing data and evaluating the effectiveness of programs/projects to present and recommend improvements to leadership for decision making.
