About the Position: This is a Temporary Project Coordinator, GS-0301-12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Fort Worth District, Standardization and Sustainability Branch, Engineering and Construction.

Duties
Serve as a Project Coordinator (PC) and Design Manager (DM), with the responsibility for planning, scoping, development, design, construction and direction of civil works and military projects.
Coordinate planning, design, cost-engineering, construction and environmental restoration, etc., for engineering projects of substantial scope and complexity.
Represent the District Commander, serve as the districts? primary point-of contact with sponsor/customer; MACOMS/DA, Air Staff, various Federal, state and local government agencies; and other external organizations.

Qualifications
Current Army Applicants: Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment Not to Exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition. Current Army employees will have return rights coordinated back to their permanent position before being placed into the position.
Non-Army Applicants: Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year, if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years, and will NOT be made permanent.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing 2 out of the 4 following duties: 1) Integrate sponsor/customer requirements and participation into a comprehensive management plan with other agencies or organizations to complete projects.; OR 2) Apply decisions, guidance, laws or regulations into the development of the project into a comprehensive management plan; OR 3) Represent the organization and serve as point of contact for various Federal, state and local government agencies etc.; OR 4) Manage operating budgets from planning through construction. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
