THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a HR SPEC (MILITARY) T32, Position Description Number PDD2054000 and is part of the AZ JFHQ, National Guard.
Duties
This position is located at the Joint Task Force in Phoenix, Arizona. This position serves as the senior personnel NCO and has responsibility for overseeing and ensuring the accomplishment of work performed in the areas of personnel management and administration.

Requirements
- ARIZONA ARMY OR AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army or Air National Guard, in a military organization supported by the Joint Task Force.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.
- Preferred applicant to possess a secret security clearance but must obtain a secret security clearance within 1 year of appointment.
- Preferred applicant possess either the Army MOS of 42A or Air Force Personnel AFSC of 3F0X1.

Military Grades:
Army: PV1/E1 - SGM/CSM/E9
Air Force: AB/E1 - CMSgt/E9
Compatible Military Assignments: Possess an Army MOS/Air Force AFSC
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experiences gained through military or civilian technical training schools, within the human resources business programs, are included as general experience qualifications. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a basic working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and personnel programs. Must have a basic knowledge and experiences of personnel programs gained in a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee. Have knowledge-based competency of human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency. Experienced in using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments. Experiences may include performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data. Experienced in operating a computer and using varied computer programs.
