About the position: This position will be assigned to the Marketing Department at Tyndall AFB, FL.
Duties
Conducts commercial sponsorship and commercial advertising. Complies lists of viable annual events and programs to seek commercial sponsorship. Develops solicitation packets and solicits sponsorship from local, regional, national and international sponsors. Negotiates mutually beneficial sponsorship terms and executes all supporting documents Ensures sponsors receive recognition as stated in the sponsorship agreements. Coordinates with the installation's Staff Judge Advocate to ensure terms of agreements for sponsors at the event. Complies and provides sponsors with copies of subsequent publicity and develops appropriate letters and after action reports (AAR's). Identifies advertising vehicles to market under marketing program. Develops pricing and rate structure for paid advertising in unit publications, point of sale venues and collateral materials such as posters, banners and digital media. Tracks payment of advertising to ensure proper accountability and credit to the fund. Stays current on all aspects of administration of the Marketing programs. Implements AFSVA's and MAJCOM commercial sponsorship programs at the base level to include AAR's. Creates awareness of the sponsorship/ad sales program and unit Activities utilizing all appropriate media. Assists with printing, proofreading and graphic arts. Acts as the POC for the squadron commercial sponsorship distribution program, scheduling and conducting periodic meetings, providing results to attendees and maintaining the sponsorship accounts. Assists in developing and implementing marketing programs for the unit. Assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation and increase financial income 325 FSS activities. Assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research and in conducting advertising campaigns. Makes recommendations on program modification and enhancements. Assist in developing training programs for FSS employees in areas related to Marketing such as the marketing process, advertising strategies, sponsorship, customer relations and media techniques. Assists the Marketing Director in conducting advertising campaigns, developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market. Assists in planning marketing campaigns designed to enhance participation in 325 FSS activities relations with on and off base media partnering with the Public Affairs Office (PAO). Must able to walk and talk to prospects in the community.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Applicant will need to have two years of progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical experience or other work which has provided a general knowledge of marketing/commercial sponsorship principles and practices. Specialized experience which may have been gained in a commercial marketing/advertising agency. Experience that demonstrates ability to plan and implement new and unique programs without benefit of established criteria; compose written material and conduct verbal and/or written presentations; solicit and negotiate sponsorship agreements; develop advertising copy. Knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows and Office) and Desktop Publishing or equivalent (i.e. Adobe Illustrator/Photo Shop/Indesign) . Possess a valid driver's license.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
